Community Spirit at it's Best. Our recent Rye Harbour Tea & Cake morning was well attended, with a warm and friendly atmosphere throughout. It was lovely to see so many people including new faces from other towns, coming together to enjoy good company, conversation and, of course, plenty of delicious cakes and refreshments.
Our Winchelsea Tea and Cake event was blessed with a sunny morning and a fantastic turnout from the community, creating a welcoming and lively atmosphere throughout.
Despite a windy and wet morning, we were delighted to welcome those who braved the weather to join us at our Icklesham Tea and Cake gathering. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who attended and helped create such a positive and engaging atmosphere.
The Cancer Cafe was set up to support people pre, during and post diagnosis + carers, friends and family. The monthly Cafe (2nd Monday each month) is attended by courageous, warm and kind people. Everyone is so supportive of each other and thanks to one person, the Cafe now has it's own Whatsapp group. 
Winchelsea, Tea and Cake – another warm and engaging community event. Our Winchelsea Tea and Cake event took place on a beautiful sunny morning, with the usual welcoming atmosphere that makes these gatherings so special. Attendees enjoyed a lovely selection of delicious homemade cakes, savouries, and fresh tea and coffee, creating the perfect setting for conversation, connection, and reflection.
FAiR's Fantastic Review of our Achievements for 2025.
Our Icklesham Tea and Cake session, part of FAiR’s Monthly Informative Social Events, proved once again how powerful it is to bring people together. Despite a chilly day, the hall was filled with warmth, friendly conversation, and a lovely turnout from the local community.

Our latest Monthly Informative Social Event at Rye Harbour, was another thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours, (10-12pm) with good attendance, a lovely atmosphere, and plenty of warm conversation, laughter, and friendly support shared over tea and cake.
What a morning! A chill wind may have been blowing outside, but inside the Winchelsea Tea & Cake gathering, warmth, conversation, and community spirit filled the room. This month’s event was another thoroughly enjoyable one, bringing together local residents for companionship, learning, and delicious treats.
What a perfect way to begin a brand‑new chapter for our community! On a beautifully sunny afternoon, we launched our very first 'Monthly Informative Social' in Icklesham, held at the welcoming Memorial Hall.

While the morning began quietly, numbers grew as the session went on, and those who attended enjoyed a relaxed and engaging experience.
We were treated to a beautiful sunny morning for this month’s Winchelsea Tea & Cake Informative Social Event, and the bright weather matched the atmosphere in the room. With 27 attendees, plenty of tea, coffee, delicious cake 7 savouries, provided by: Haydens / Cornish Bakery & Jempsons and 3 fantastic speakers, it was a truly full and inspiring session.
We’re writing to let you know that Tilling, Tea and Cake has now come to an end, as of 21st February. This wasn’t an easy decision, but after looking closely at a few important issues

February’s Cancer Café proved to be another well‑attended and deeply meaningful gathering, with twelve people joining us — including two gentlemen — each at different stages of their Cancer journey. The atmosphere, as ever, was one of understanding, honesty, and gentle support.
We were delighted to welcome 34 attendees to Winchelsea Tea and Cake on a bright, dry winter’s day, marking the first of our ‘Informative Social Events’ for 2026.
Our first Informative Social event was a great start to 2026 - a warm and welcoming success, attended by 26 'Friends of FAiR' from across our rural communities.
