Its the unexpected donations that surprise us. Sometimes, conversations we had months ago stay with potential donors and this was our experience earlier this week.
We received an email out of the blue last week, asking me if I remembered a conversation between Kit Mclean and myself last November. I did.
Kit runs the Elm Tree Boot Sale – charging an admission fee for each car. All of the money collected is donated to local good causes.
He confirmed a proposed donation of £1000 which we will use for room hire for our monthly Saturday Social – ‘Tilling, Tea and Cake’ and the purchase of equipment for our Befriending service.
I want to express our deepest gratitude for the donation. Kit and his wife Janet’s support plays a vital role in helping us achieve our mission of helping people who experience social, emotional, loneliness and isolation challenges.
It’s through the kindness and generosity of individuals that we’re able to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.
We are grateful for your belief in our cause and your willingness to support us in our efforts.
